This document provides instructions on how to configure a 436Q eNB to work with the FreedomFi Gateway. The following procedure is used to take a bare Baicells 436q from the box and bring up to operating configuration with the FreedomFi Gateway.
NOTE: Order matters below, please follow in order or Baicells SW won’t let you do certain steps.
Step 1. Configure WAN Network

Configure WAN MTU to 1600

Configure DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Step 2. Configure IPsec Pool Network

Turn off MME Pool

Disable IPsec

Step 3. Configure LGW to off

Step 4. Configure SNMP to on (optional)

In BTS Settings – > Management Server

Enable SNMP

Step 5. Configure Quick Settings

Configure MME IP to 10.0.2.1

Delete the existing MME 10.3.0.4

Configure PLMN and other cell specific parameters per preference

Step 6. Reboot and Confirm

Reboot to apply all configurations

Confirm on status page connection to OMC and MME after reboot
